FUNDERS
During the period under review, Care Link potential funders were:
The James Tudor Foundation
- The Hilden Charitable Fund
- The Harry Payne Trust
- The Scarman Trust
ENCOUNTERED DIFFICULTIES
Though this period has given a little hope to the whole refugee population from Central Africa with the improvement of Home Office processing of application for asylum the system in which we operate did not enable Care Link to totally materialise its activities as initially foreseen. The reasons are here below explained:
- Massive displacement of asylum seekers under NASS contract;
- Limited financial resources to face a huge amount of needs;
- Weak networking system with other refugee groups leaving a great amount of work to Care Link to carry out this kind of activities on its own;
EVALUATION
During the year being considered, Care Link has evaluated its effectiveness and commitment. Based on results, we are pleased to say that our work on behalf of refugees from Central Africa has been somehow completed as planned in spite of economic challenges in trying to raise enough fund. We have achieved as much as we had hoped.
